Captains log, Day 12, stardate 13062018
Arwens position: Nøtteøy, south of Tønsberg.
The Captain must admit to a certain impatience for the start of our Voyage. Delays and lack of progress is taking its toll. However, the main goal of our visit at Nøtterøy has been reached, and today the Harbourmaster said that he liked people who aimed to sail far, and implied that he would be lenient on the end invoice for our stay and mastlifts.
We hope to be sailing for Veierland and a last trimming of the rig, by Friday night or Saturday morning. Einar Hammer, Escquire and rig expert, came by for a first look at our rig in his barge. The Captain assisted in the pretrimming. Arwens rig is simple, and with the expert help of
Mr. Hammer we soon had a satisfying straightness of the mast.
All crew then went for a trip around Tønsberg Harbour, enjoying the relative peace and quiet of the place before the touristseason sets in.As we where awaiting the Captains mother the next day, all crew retired early. Pluto the Deckhand reported no development on his personal project.

Arwens position: Nøtterøy, south of Tønsberg.
Pluto the Deck Hand woke the Captain early, to remind him of his Mothers visit later. A slight panic arose as the Captain realised that Arwen was not presentable for so important a guest. After several pots of strong Coffee, and some sweat off the Captains back, the situation was remedied, barely an hour before our guests arrived.
At their arrival, all hands where mustered for inspection of Crew and Boat by the Mother and her Spouse, Arnulf. Only the the first Mate was missing, as he had not returned from his obligations ashore. We served coffee in the main cabin, and recieved an invitation to lunch with them at a nearby Tavern, after recieving the Foodchest and other equipment. At the Tavern, we where later joined by first Mate.
The Captains mother had brought a family Tree, showing the lineage of Gunnar Othelius, her Father, from whom the Expedition has its name. We bade our Farewells after lunch, and spent the evening at our firsts Mate`s landside dwellings with his landlord Andrè. There are Rumours of a late night sailing on the Rusalka, before the Crew retired, but alas, none of the alledgedly involved persons are willing to admit as much.
No development was reported on the Deck Hands project.

Arwens position: Nøtterøy, south of Tønsberg
As our first Mate and Steward was preparing a Stag party for a close friend, planned to last all Weekend, the Captain and the Deck Hand made Arwen ready for moving to Veierland, home of Mr. Hammer, and also the Island where the infamous author Jens Bjørneboe lived his last years.
The Harbourmaster, indeed turned out to be lenient as foretold, as he only demanded half price for stay and lifting. The Captain spent the rest of the Day procuring parts, so the stay on Veierland could be productive on repairs.
No development on Pluto`s project, but he expressed hope for getting on with it as we move to Veierland.

Arwens position as the log is written: Havnebakke, west of Veierland.
Arwen left the Harbour around noon, when the tides where favourable. On the way, we encountered said Stag party docked at a nearby Island. As it turned out that none of the involved was at a level of sobriety that would allow them to sail the Rusalka, the Captain agreed to take them aboard and sail to the nearest store for resupplyuing. Arwens Steward stayed to prepare a meal. This was shared before The Captain and the Deck Hand continued towards Veierland.
Welcomed by Mr. Hammer, we docked Arwen at Havnebakke, the Hammer familys mainland Habour, and crossed to Veierland in Mr. Hammers barge. We proceeded to Dagros, the local Tavern at Veierland, for some refreshment and conversation with the local Population, before retiring at Mr. Hammers cabin.
Pluto, the Deck Hand was pleased to report: Veierland; Check!
Captains log, Day 16, stardate: 17062018
Arwens position: Havnebakke, west of Veierland.
The Captain is an early riser, and spent the morning exploring Veierland with Arwens Deck Hand. Pluto showed particular interest in grassing sheep nearby, but was reprimanded by the Captain and stayed calm after this.. We then borrowed the Hammer barge and left for Havnebakke for repairs of the Day.
Backboard winch was fixed after some problems, and we also had to adjust all clamps on our new mainsail, as the turned out to be to big. Again the age of Arwen made it difficult to use new parts.
The evening was spent in good Company with Mr. Tor Pedersen, a local inhabitant. A neighbour og Mr. Hammer, a former racingboatdriver by the name of Leif Olaf Eriksen called and needed some assistance in getting to the mainland the next day. Our host, mr. Hammer, asked his advice on our engines oil-leak, and mr. Eriksen has agreed to look at it after their mainlandexpedition returns.
Pluto, the Deck Hand reports: Havnebakke; Check!
Captains log, Day 17, stardate: 18062018
Arwens position: Veierland, east of Sandefjord.
Captain and Deck Hand crossed to Havnebakke with mr. Hammer and mr. Eriksen, and sailed Arwen back to Veierland for redocking. As mr. Eriksen returned, the Captain was ready with the engine and it was brought to mr. Eriksens workshop.
Mr. Eriksen has 30 years of experience with boatracing, and knows his outboard engines well. He soon spotted our problem, and instructed the Captain to tighten the top screws ever so little. Observing the engine after this shows the leak has reduced to a trickle. If this continues we might have to change the rubber sealing, according to mr. Eriksen. He also has a few tips as to where the part may be purchased.
Captain and Deckhand prepared Arwen for picking up the parts, and our Steward in Tønsberg tomorrow and retired early.

Arwens position as the log is written: Veierland, west of Havnebakke.
Captain and Deck Hand sailed in the morning and reached Nøtterøy Harbour by Noon, to pick up the Steward. As rain was awaited for the first part of the day, which made for bad conditions for restocking Arwen, we decided to go about our needed aquirements first, while the Steward prepared for outdoors operations.
As the rain ceased, we where able to restock, and set a course for Veierland late in the evening. We arrived at Veierland an hour after midnight, and spent a few hours with mr. Hammer and his newly arrived brother.before retiring.
Pluto reports; Veierland revisited!

The Hammer brothers invited Arwens Crew and Captain to their cabin, and as refreshments where available in abundance, the company became quite Merry and continued into the small hours of the morning.
