If you have found yourself in a rut doing basically the same activities day after day and getting little results, consider changing your sales approach from ‘what can I get from this relationship’ to ‘what can I give to this relationship.’ Try this:
Promote your customers’ businesses online. Write an article, make a video or a simple post on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. about their businesses. This gives your customers free advertisement. Don't forget to add hashtags with relevant key words to get the information in front of a broader audience.
Spend money with your customers. Show them you are committed to the relationship.
Give your customers’ positive reviews on social media. This is big. Reviews are hard to get. And this will help them a lot.
Use testimonial videos of customers when meeting with prospects. Prospects want to know how you have helped other businesses achieve their goals, solve their problems or satisfy their needs. They want to know your company will be there for them when they pick up the phone to get an issue resolved. Your PowerPoint slides are not proof of your dependability. Your customers are the only proof you have.
Build a social media platform. I cannot stress enough how this will help you and your customers. By building a platform, this gives you a bigger audience, so when you promote your customers online, this gives them greater exposure. And for you, building a solid network makes you a more valuable salesperson giving you a competitive advantage.
Give leads to your customers and prospects. Your network is a huge asset. If you know someone that could be of mutual benefit to your customers and prospects, make the introduction.
