Gili islands

Then head towards the island of Gili Trawagan to pass our open water diving license. Pictures of dreams underwater: turtles, sharks, moray eels, lion fish ... Magical moments but with a first small problem. By dint of equalizing the ears not to hurt when we went deep, we had an inflammation of the outer ear.

Ubud

Then we go to the small town of Ubud. Little corner of the island that owes its success to the film « Eat Pray Love" with Julia Roberts.

It was in this small town that we were able to make our first salsa evening at Havana Cafe. A live concert on Thursday night, with an awesome band allowed us to dance with good dancers, many expatriates mainly. The waiters and all the other people in the bar were always very smiling. We were greeted with great generosity.

Seminyak

We ended our trip in Seminyak for the last three days on one of the beache of Bali for surfing and playing soccer.

We decide to go dancing at the Bahiana bar with my friends. I met some great local dancers in LA style Salsa. They followed all our guides and were very smiling as well.

The next day, we went to dance this time at Made’s Warung. A perfect floor and a great atmosphere. I got all the info from places to dance by contacting Salsa Bali. They sent me all the info in the neighborhood of Kuta.

As far as salsa in Bali is concerned, LA style is the most known in lot of countries in the world. It is only in France, Italy and of course in Cuba that the Cuban style has such a great presence. If you go dancing everywhere you will see that I'm right.
