The ongoing investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Aryan Khan drugs case has taken a new twist with revelations about an alleged extortion plot involving independent witness KP Gosavi. According to the news agency ANI, the CBI probe has uncovered evidence suggesting that Gosavi planned to extort ₹25 crores from Aryan Khan's family in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case.

In response to the corruption allegations and the involvement of several individuals connected to the Aryan Khan case, the CBI conducted searches at 29 locations across the country on Friday. The central investigation agency registered a case against former Mumbai NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede and three others, linking them to a corruption case related to the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case. The raids were conducted in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi (Jharkhand), and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Wankhede, who led the raid on the Cordelia Cruise and arrested Aryan Khan, has recently claimed that he is being targeted and punished for his patriotism. In response to the CBI raids on his residence and other premises, Wankhede alleged that 18 CBI officials conducted a search that lasted over 12 hours, all while his wife and children were present at home. During the search, the officials reportedly discovered ₹23,000 in cash and four property papers. Wankhede clarified that these assets were acquired before he joined the service.

Wankhede further alleged that the CBI officials also confiscated the phone belonging to his wife, Kranti Redkar. Additionally, the CBI recovered ₹28,000 from the house of Wankhede's sister, Yasmin Wankhede, and ₹28,000 from his father, Dnyaneshwar Wankhede's house. Furthermore, ₹1,800 was reportedly found at the residence of Wankhede's father-in-law.

The investigation into the Aryan Khan drugs case continues, and these recent developments regarding the alleged extortion plot and corruption allegations have added new dimensions to the case. The CBI will further scrutinize the evidence and statements as it seeks to uncover the truth surrounding the high-profile case
