While I'd love to see it, doubt that will happen. If he was going to go into a crypto social media platform it would be of his own making. He could have an audience that is massively larger then Steemit in 24 hours of announcing and have none of the baggage that comes with Steemit.

The cost to launch the new platform would be drastically less then he'd have to invest in steem to have enough control between him and his friends. Like what happens on Shark Tank very often, the Sharks look at a deal and say "why would I invest when I can create this myself for less money".

Not saying Steemit is dead, but the events around the hive split and many before that leave Steemit tainted goods to any large investor IMO.
