Fake news is such an over-used buzzword at the moment, with satire sites being flagged as fake news by the comically unaware on a regular basis.
The fact is that comedy and satire are equally effective at providing a narrative of current events as mainstream news that it's criminal how much valid discussion goes unrecognised for the social commentary it represents.
