Cup of Joy
"True inner joy is self – created.
It does not depend on outer circumstances.
A river is flowing in and through you carrying the message of joy.
This divine joy is the sole purpose of life.
- Sri Chinmoy
One of the most awesome experiences in existence is joy. You don't have to smile to have it because it resides inside of you. No physical exertion is needed to achieve it! In some rare cases you can posses it regardless of your circumstances. It is difficult to hold on to in the face of adverse physical realities, but if you are focused and intentional, then its alot harder attempting to remove it. Please, Please don't hoard it if you have some, Joy has a tendency to react like a gremlins under water, it just multiplies within you when you share it with others. The people who have that rare ability to carry it in bulk are infectious to be around. The Genuine happiness they're constantly surrounded by, makes their presence more desirable.
I was blessed with the gift of exuding joy and spreading it like a virus to those around me.My joy was crafted in childhood, molded in puberty and Hardened in my heart as an adult. I refill the Goblet of my soul with the time I spend with my children and my family and friends. Not enough importance can be placed on re-filling your cup, especially when you pour out on others, even when it feels so good to do so.
Joy is a form of strength that we can rely on, and it is a centerpiece of the reason to maintain our faith. The presence of the lord is always a deeply enjoyable experience that motivates us to spend even more time with him.
Joy is beauty, joy is grace, joy is love and the more that we can embody these joyful attribute the closer we come into contact with our divine purpose.
