Tuck Fheman Is The Original Steem Ranter ... And You Other Steem Ranters Are Just Swagger Jackers!

Swagger Jacker Chronicles - Volume I

No matter what your rant about Steem is right now, Tuck Fheman said it before you did months ago!

So you other Steem ranters are just swagger jackers. No complaint you can come up with about Steem has not already been expressed by Tuck Fheman. Even if whatever it is you're complaining about right now didn't exist on Steem months ago, Tuck Fheman already complained about it.

Tuck Fheman is the O.S.R.

You know how you swagger jackers like to post about how you're not getting any upvotes on your original content, but some well known account can make a post about how great Steem is and received $4,817?

That's Tuck Fheman's rant!

You're not being original, it's already been said by me, myself and I!

So the next time you want to swagger jack Tuck Fheman's rants you better think about it! Tuck Fheman don't have time to go around telling all you swagger jackers how you are ripping off Tuck Fheman's flow, so Tuck Fheman started the Swagger Jacker Chronicles to point out just a few of the rant topics Tuck Fheman's already covered.

The next time you swagger jacking sucker M.C.'s feel like breaking off a flow to express yourself thinking you're the next Paul Revere, you might want to recognize that when it comes to rants ... I go to work. You may think I'm bad, and you're right, but you got's to chill and realize that Tuck Fheman don't jump around ranting for nothin'; Tuck Fheman's rants serve a purpose and you know Tuck Fheman will rock the bells!

The below Original Steem Rant was posted on June 6, 2016 ... yes months before you swagger jacked Tuck Fheman! You ain't slick and you ain't no Peter Piper. Read below to find out how you are swagger jacking Tuck Fheman when you make this tired old rant.

Posting original content is not the only ingredient to earn money on Steem at this time, as some suggest regularly. There's a lot of original content on Steem that has little to no earnings whatsoever because it is not in a topic that catches the whale's eye or the people posting the original content do not own a lot of mined Steem to upvote themselves a few hundred dollars immediately or have bots following them for instant upvotes.

I can spend hours writing original content and receive little to no upvotes. For example, my 900+ word original content on UFC 199 or nanzo-scoops write up received no earnings, few upvotes and they are not isolated incidents, just examples I can quickly reference because they are fresh in my mind. But there's a lot of original content being ignored because it's not on a specific money making topic (like Bots, Steem, Tutorials, Philosophy, Basic Income, etc) or by a person that either panders to whales by posting in these topics, is lucky enough to be proficient in those topics or is followed by the whales to earn money because they know other bots will auto-upvote their post.

So yes, it is like swimming upstream for those of us that post in topics we find interesting that aren't related to the topics mentioned above because we simply have no interest in the topics above (which I think is the vast majority of the population). We can make a post and get lucky and earn a big payout on a few post, but that amount will decrease quite a bit by the time 7/4 rolls around. One post I've made has decreased by over $2,000 in around 10 days. This is what I mean by swimming upstream. At one point I had nearly $13,000 in earnings and that's now down to under $10,000 I believe. Unless I hit the lotto again between now and 7/4, my payout on that day will likely be around $3,000 or less. That's a $10,000 drop and once again, that's what I mean by swimming upstream.

This is not a complaint, just an observation. I'm very lucky and grateful to earn anything posting on a website for a month or two. But I do think the narrowness of the topics rewarded on Steem is troublesome for newcomers that are not into bots, know nothing about Steem, have never coded a website that can post Steem stats, don't care about basic income, philosophy or any of the other whale targeted topics. The focus on the introduceyourself topic was a plus, but it can be easily gamed without much contribution by the account owner.

I now think it would be better to have a new user make a worthwhile original content contribution to the site before everyone upvoted them $1,000-$4,000+. It's a bit ridiculous to see someone rewarded that much money for posting a picture and introducing themselves versus some of the other very well thought out long post that receive nothing or very little for their effort. Some of the introductions have earned more than Developers coding things for the Steem community. That's just crazy! Sure she's hot and blonde, but $4k for an intro? =b It's not her fault, it's just bad voting. There should have been a cap on intro rewards, somehow or make them at least earn it. But bad voting like that is the reason why most newcomers are swimming upstream and losing faith in the system as they watch their earnings dwindle further each day, mainly due to careless upvoting for things that don't actually deserve that many upvotes or rewards.

Seriously, how many times can we say the same thing and watch it get upvoted several thousand dollars again and again? It seems to be a competition now. Eww, Dan said something about ______, now I'll go make a post about that same topic and boom! Hey here's $1.5k for you buddy! While at the same time we have someone else that's new to the site posting about something they are interested in on a completely new topic and they don't get the Steem-love. I've said this before, but I feel it needs to be said again because the topics that get upvoted just don't spread out for very long before most are back to only upvoting the go-to topics on Steem.

Look I get it that people are here to make money and they will abuse the system to make that money, but it's just becoming a bit obnoxious to me personally to watch this happen day after day and frankly I'm tired of reading about the same damn thing on here. I find myself going back to Reddit just to get a taste of the real world now and then. A place where people post about whatever the f*ck pops into their head at the time instead of spending hours researching the best time to post and what topic they should use and how they should properly format said post before clicking the button. It's just becoming too sanitized here for my taste.

At least pharesim (who I don't agree with on most topics, and I like that!) has gone around starting some debates lately and livened the place up a bit, but normally it's just a fricken hug fest out of worry you won't make money if you say anything against the norm or post something out of the ordinary. It's becoming bland again, at least for me it is. I want to see something different. Not the same crap day after day and especially watch the same 5 topics get upvoted constantly. I just want to spew out my finely ground arabica coffee and yell at the screen out of frustration with this place at times.

Do something different! Post something different! Argue with someone! Post a #jiggly-boob (shameless plug) or something we haven't all seen on here 20 times in the past 2 weeks on a completely new topic. We have a guy posting about his DJ tutorials and he barely gets any attention. Suggestion @pairmike, write a song about Steem Bots that love Basic Income Philosophy and scratch that shit up to $5,000! ;) I mean, you either have to start playing the game or just head back to Reddit at some point, and that's sad.

This place needs to be more inclusive, unless I'm just way off base and the only people welcome here are the scholarly type that can write bots, code up a website or repeat every book they read in college like it's their own opinion. Perhaps that is the case, and if it is someone needs to make that clear to the newcomers so they don't get the wrong impression and waste their time coming to Steem. Change the advertisement to state up front that your IQ must be above 120 and you must post about Steem, Bots, Philosophy or be able to code up an app or site for Steem to make money.

Or ... dumb this place down so that anyone can feel welcome. Include the silly GIF (that actually takes a good while to make) in your upvoting repertoire, the BBQ recipe, the flower pot, the photograph, the joke, the review, the question that's not Steem related and on and on. Vary the topics more, allow more people to feel welcome here by acknowledging their existence and willingness to express themselves on a site that at first glance appears to be way over most normal people's heads. Some friends I've shown this site to say it's like walking into a college. And again, maybe that's what you guys/gals want, but you will not reach mass adoption this way.

Tuck Fheman hopes you enjoyed the first installment of Swagger Jacker Chronicles. As we come across more old rants we see others swagger jacking on a daily basis the SJC will be updated with new volumes for your (hopeful) amusement. =)

Old skool...............

Vision dreams of passion

And all the while I think of you

A very strange reaction

The more I see, the more I do
Something of a phenomenon
Telling your body to come along
Cause white lines blow away..

It's Tricky is the title, here we go

People shouldn't expect all of their posts to be successful, at least not this early on, with this few followers who most also have little SP.

Just do your thing, be persistent and the rewards will come in time. There is no better feeling than noticing big votes coming on some of your old posts that people have randomly stumbled upon and given it a vote, even though the payout can take up to a month.

You should see it more as a library, and all your blogposts make their own history of you. Rewards will be balanced out more evenly on posts with more users on the platform later.

I like your hip-hop songs.

Finally someone acknowledged da old-skool!

The old rant was secondary to the Kanye third-person style old-skool rap call out. :)

repeat every book they read in college like it's their own opinion

That was funny.
Seriously, you're spot on. Great reminder to write from the heart and not just what will attract votes.

Great article, Tuck. I know why I´m following you.
What I would like to propose is to introduce a „most voted“ section to also rank contributions according to the broadness of their support. This would be a performance indicator that minnows and newcomers have much more in their own hands (e.g. by building networks and their follower base). Increased visibility via such a ´most voted´tab would then also help whales to identify content with broad appreciation and thus help them to distribute their votes (i.e. monetary rewards) to a more diverse and more relevant minnow population.

Thanks! :)

All the swagger jackers should get together and have a rant contest you could call it a #swaggerjackoff kind of like the opposite of #circlejerk

Just follow you :) Nice work

thanks!

@tuck-fheman I like your sense of humor man. swagger-jackers and jiggly-boob thats funny. I did post a few articles. I posted one of an artist doing a Jesus on a wall which I thought was amazing and hugely popular on Facebook. So I posted that not a penny. I did an intro article and somehow managed to get some attention from Dan which was cool. Maybe I just posted at the right time or something I wrote gelled with him. Anyway I have to admit I am more business focussed and have some ideas I want to explore. Appreciate you being here. You have posted a lot in the last 3 months and man you have a lot of Steem Power. I am buying small amounts everyday to try and build up my Power. If you have a post you might have done for newbies, tricks of trade, can you please direct me to it. Thanks mate. Best, Tony

I don't know how i missed this post. Wished i had seen this earlier........

Whenever I have a hard time remembering the members of the Beastie Boys I listen to Paul Revere as they are constantly saying their names

I love the tags on this post and the term swagger jackers. Top notch man!!

thanks! :)

@dan lol Steem auto-inserted #jiggly-boob tag. I'd call it a bug but I like it! :)

I had another tag in there, for five total, but it kept saying I had six tags and wouldn't let me submit. Then after posting I see that it's auto-inserted that extra tag.

Edit: I see why this happened now. In the article I quoted above that tag was inserted and I didn't notice it. So Steem is now counting that in the tag count. No bug then. Sorry.

Hang in there Tuck, the Update is coming and soon you will have a much better opportunity to be seen. Keep posting and doing you. Your Loyalty will not go un-noticed. Old School brings me back, thanks for that..:)

People who read this post will say the same thing; I agree with you. Of course they are, because you are few steps ahead us. I tried a lot of different posts and new tags but no chance for me. I don't complain because maybe It wasn't enough, but people must open their eyes and read a post before they upvote it. Are a lot of posts that are repeating over and over and, they keep upvoting only because people are upvoting it. So fucking annoying habits. So, do I agree with you? Of course, I fucking agree with YOU!

i am new to steem and I am disappointed to know that even if my content was original i cant earn much without a whale's blessing..

Soon that will likely not be the case with the proposed changes.

https://steemit.com/steem/@dantheman/people-rank-using-page-rank-algorithm-for-better-curation-and-rewards

Hang in there!

Insightful, i agree on most of the points

nice to read your post.. i agree to the fact that unless whales have their eyes on your post it won't get enormous earnings.. whether or not the content is original..

Gangstaaa aaa

I hope the upvoting system will change soon

great post :)

The struggle getting real, I get downvote by anti plagiarism dude because I don't know why and get downvote from copy pastor fags because my post less word than picture . Still I don't know why . This getting hard , seems like making new enemy on steemit now .
