Saturday Movie Review - Hulk (2003)

in saturdaymoviereview •  7 years ago  (edited)

The Hulk is a great comic book character,
And recently in the MCU he's been done right,
But when this movie came out we we're shocked to see it.
It was the hulk's downfall.
And today I will be reviewing

The Hulk (2003)

Plot Summary

Bruce Banner is a brilliant scientist who gets involved in a gamma ray accident. Confused about his survival, Banner discovers that since the accident, every time he becomes angry, he transforms into a giant green rage monster, The Hulk. Bruce's mysterious past and the answer to why the radiation had this effect is revealed to him by his father David Banner who wants to continue experimenting on him.

The Review

This movie isn't that bad,
But it still is bad.
This movie left a big mark on Ang Lee ( The Director ),
And it will continue to haunt him.
You have these weird and goofy comic book transitions,
The editing and style is bad throughout the entire film,
The whole movie is really boring,
I literally couldn't watch it without fast forwarding,
It sucked the joy right out of me.
You get this useless build up to the Hulk,
And when Bruce transforms it happens out of nowhere.
And what's with the mutant dogs,
Are they trying to cuddle the Hulk to death,
That's just not intimidating at all.
And we do get a brief few minutes of Hulk action,
But it's really short.
This movie was just a let down of such a good character.

That was the review,
Leave any movie suggestions in the comments below,
But until next time,
