Saudi Arabia is not oppressive at all. There are no large Saudi communities abroad. Saudis never want to live anywhere but in Saudi Arabia. Although Saudi Arabia is the fifth country in the world with the largest number of students studying abroad (government-paid scholarships), almost all of them return back home. Here’s why:

Each Saudi is entitled to free healthcare, free education from kindergarten through graduate school (including paid scholarships abroad), and subsidized gas and water prices.Saudi Arabia is ranked the 21st happiest nation in the world.Saudi Arabia is ranked the safest country among the G20 countries—safer than the US, the UK, France, China and Russia.Social unity and a robust relation and trust between the people and the government.

On top of that, Saudi Arabia launched Vision 2030, which aims to wean the kingdom’s economy away from oil and implement human rights reforms (Women were given their full legal rights. Hijab has become a personal choice. The male-guardianship law was abolished, etc).
