God, our greatest helper in times of need and trails and afflictions.

PREAMBLE

Often times, when trials and tribulations come our we, we sometimes neither do not know WHAT to do nor WHO to run to. Hence, out of frustration, our Spirit man and mind could lose focus and shift from where it's original source of help is to depend on their intellect and human help. But I assure you that such help does not last. Any help that does not come from God would be temporal and would come with a price that you may not pay.

2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 New King James Version (NKJV)

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7 New International Version (NIV)

The truth is that when we put our hopes in humans or make boast in ourselves, we are devaluing God and are bound to fail, that's why the Psalmist says that

"As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longeth after you, cause you alone are my heart desire and I long to worship you"

Going by this, we must always remember that God the one and only source of help for every mankind. No wonder the song writer Andraé Crouch wrote that:

Jesus Is The Answer For The World Today
Above Him There's No Other Jesus Is The Way
Jesus Is The Answer For The World Today
Above Him There's No Other Jesus Is The Way

So what happens when God sends help?

I had forgot to tell you that when God wants to bless a man or help a man out of his trouble, he sends another man, similarly, when satan wants to destroy a man or cause him pains and sorrow, he also sends a man. What a paradox you would say.

Nevertheless, when God sends your helper, nothing can stop this. It doesn’t end in Him sending us helpers but it goes beyond we knowing what our needs are. As such, we as the chosen, ought to know what we really need from God. So I would ask.

What is the area of help we need?.

How do you want God to help you?

and

How do we get help from God?

I would leave the first two questions for you to answer and would focus on this last one.

First go to him in prayer:
Mark 11:25-26

25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

Going to God entails going to God clean. We should first evaluate ourselves whether we have offended any one or we are keeping malice on what others did to us. WE should pray for forgiveness from God and also forgive others before we ask Him for help.

Let us remember also not pray amiss but rather be specific on what we need or want God to do for us.

2 Peter 1:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

The second way of getting help from God is to stand On His Promises.
Most people are waiting for only some of the promises and not all. They only need the experience of the promise in paradise and not in earth. They think that they would be rich in heaven. They long/desire for nothing else than their salvation. Well, please quote me right, I'm not saying that desire or longing only after righteousness is a sin oooooo. I hope that I would have time in another episode to talk on that.

The third way of getting help from God is by being Patient before the Lord Psalms 37:7
Do not allow fear to prick you. After you have done all these, stand on the Lord, be patient. Wait on him.
and he would surely deliver you from ALL your troubles in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer
