Greetings to friends and brothers in Christ.

I am happy to share the present post related to How can I be free from guilt? We will review several key steps necessary to be blameless, all of them under the banner of forgiveness.

Recognize the sin that gave rise to your guilt.

Repent of your sin before God. If you have sinned against another person, confess it. Remember that our society finds it easy to accept some sinful behaviors as normal. But the Bible clearly says what sin is or is not. If you have any doubt about whether you have sinned or not, consult the Scriptures. God will show you what is or is not a violation of His Word.

When you confess to God that you have sinned, do not try to justify what you did. Tell him clearly his transgression, and then ask God to forgive him.

Repair the damage.

If you have harmed another person, do not try to substitute the request for forgiveness for good actions towards that person. This same principle applies to your relationship with God: do not try to replace genuine repentance with good works.

When attempting to repair the injury or damage done to another person, it may be prudent to ask what would be, in your opinion, the fair payment for the damage or injury caused, or could offer some form of compensation. The best payment can be a real change in your life (which can include spiritual counseling, professional psychological help or therapy). Ask God to give you wisdom to determine the correct way to respond. Ask him also courage and strength to fulfill his commitment to the injured person.

Accept forgiveness.

If you have sinned against God and repented, you can be sure that He has forgiven you. His Word promises that he will forgive him (1 Jn 1: 9), and the Lord always keeps his word. If you have sinned against another person and he forgives you, accept your words of forgiveness. Do not try to question their sincerity or their motives.

What happens if someone, to whom he has apologized, refuses to forgive him? The responsibility will then be that person, not yours, for not having forgiven. You did what the Lord asked of you, and therefore you are innocent before Him.

It is easy to blame others for not reaching our dreams, it is easy to make excuses in saying I do not have resources, I do not have options. The excuses make you feel better for a moment but there in your heart you know that you are not well with yourself, that you are the prisoner of guilt.
Today you can be free from guilt, assuming responsibility for your life.
God gave you the ability to choose, God gives you options to create and respond to life. He gave Adam and Eve many options but they chose the tree of the science of good and evil. Choose today to leave the excuses and start living your life with responsibility.
