In which category I am?

It is necessary to read carefully the writing of the parable of the sower, and identify the position you occupy, according to the description and location of the scattered seeds. By making the relationship will allow you to improve, grow spiritually and in turn understand why the call of the Lord.

Parable of the Sower

Jesus explains the parable to his disciples (Mt 13: 18-23), affirming that what the sower sows or seeds is the Word of God. It must be kept in mind that Jesus is that Word that is incarnated and given for the redemption of humanity.

The parable as its explanation presents four categories of listeners, according to the openness and reception in the soul:

  • The grains of the Word that fall to the edge of the road, the birds come and eat them, they are the ones who listen to the Word but the devil comes and takes what was sown by the Word in them;

  • Others receive the seed as stony ground, there is not much land, it sprouted immediately because it does not have soil depth but the sun rises, it burns or burns and because it does not have roots it dries up. They listen to the Word with joy, they welcome it but as they do not have roots, they are inconstant, there comes the difficulty or persecution for the Word and they soon succumb.

  • The seed that falls among thorns, when they believe the brambles drown it,
so it does not bear fruit; are those who listen to

Word but the cares of life, the seduction of riches and the desire of everything else invade them, drown the Word and this is sterile and does not bear fruit.

  • The grains of the Word that fall on good soil, grow, develop and bear fruit; they are those who listen to the Word, accept it and give it harvest, they produce thirty, sixty or even a hundred times more numerous than what was sown. In other words. The Holy Spirit wants to produce spiritual fruit in our lives. It is very clear that this is the purpose in which we were planted in the Lord. If something should mark our lives is to be able to obtain, spiritual fruit in abundance! The will of our Heavenly Father is that we bear much fruit as John 15: 8 tells us, "In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so be my disciples." Our lives glorify God when we bear spiritual fruit in our Christian walk

Planting time is time to establish our vision and purposes, to want to grow but with a control mixed with a little certainty and patience, it is action, it is thinking, considering and reflecting. is to be aware of ourselves, of what we know and know, aware of what we can imagine, of what we can do. The parable of the Sower evokes aspects that follow the act of one who believes, actively and perseveringly, in the Word of God: Hearing, understanding and leading to bear fruit to the Word of God.
