It seems that the scammers have a new way of trying to get you to listen to them try to sell you something. They are now calling people's cell phones and if you answer the call or call them back, they will lie and say that they called you because you had called them first.
I had someone do that to me a couple of times. I texted the person and asked them why they kept calling me repeatedly and they told me that they were just returning my calls. I informed them that I had never called their number, but they said they could prove that I did, then they sent me some bogus call sheet to try to prove it.
I told this person to stop calling me, and I repeated that I had never called them--whoever they were. He or she texted me back and said that I should answer my phone the next time they call so that we could see if we know each other. That was one of the dumbest things I'd ever seen somebody text to a stranger.
Anyway, after I made it clear once again that I did not call them and that they needed to stop calling me, they finally stopped. I guess they saw that I was not going to be just another fool that they could scam.
