On this, the inaugural day of the holiday, I’ve compiled a detailed itinerary. While rather lengthy, it delves into the specifics. Should it pique your interest, I encourage you to read it thoroughly.
Today, several friends and I ventured to the Ink Wash Danxia, a trip made all the more fortuitous by our early departure 😱.
We left the city around 8 am and arrived within an hour, experiencing minimal traffic. Conversely, friends who departed a mere half-hour later found themselves ensnared in a veritable traffic quagmire.
💗 Regarding Tickets:
1⃣ Upon reaching the scenic area, we proceeded to the ticketing hall to redeem our passes. A group purchase, priced at 60, encompassed both entry and a scenic shuttle; purchasing individually would have cost 80 plus 20, rendering it a less prudent option ‼️.
2⃣ Navigation is straightforward; the proximity ensures a swift drive. No further elaboration is necessary.
3⃣ Having acquired our tickets, we boarded the scenic shuttle. The initial mode of transportation was a standard 50-seater bus 💥.
This conveyed us to the first scenic locale, the ‘Ancient Silk Road.’ Here, one finds a small exhibition hall and a modest menagerie. If accompanied by children, a visit is indispensable, showcasing endearing alpacas, four-horned sheep, swans, chicks 🐥, deer 🦌, and camels 🐫. Equestrian activities and archery are also available. This stop may prove to be the sole source of amusement for younger visitors.
From the ‘Ancient Silk Road,’ we boarded an open-air sightseeing vehicle, offering a refreshing respite from the heat. This conveyed us to the second locale, ‘Dan Peak Vista,’ where one can admire panoramic views of the vibrant Danxia formations and a celestial campsite 🌌. Accommodation is available, with the sunsets and sunrises 🌄 being particularly stunning.
The subsequent sites presented similar Danxia landforms, but with more distinct striations, a truly magnificent display of nature's artistry ‼️. The scenic shuttle transported us to ‘Sand Rhythm Camel Bell’ and ‘Sand Well Tribe,’ allowing for a closer appreciation of the surrounding landscape, with a gentle breeze enhancing the viewing experience.
A hot air balloon platform also awaits, but the heat deterred our visit. ㊙️ A gentle advisory: arrive either early or later to witness the sunset; avoid a midday visit, as the heat is truly unbearable 😭.
