Teachers at a school in Izmir, Turkey, plan to apply for the Guinness Book of World Records, as at their school they teach 33 twins, reports aa.
In the Buxha district of Izmir, western Turkey, more precisely in the high school Makbule Suleyman Alkan, they learn a number of unusual twins and triads.
"When we started recording the students, we saw that we are actually registering 33 twins as well as triads," said school director Bertan Cetin. "Numerically, we can compete for Guinness World Records. The Director of National Education has offered his support. Our students will soon see them in the world record book, "he said.
One of the twin parents, Ozlem Gultekin, said the competition for the record book would be a good thing for both Izmir and Turkey.
The mother of one of the triads taught at this school, Zeliha Soysal, said that her three children are successful students. "I'm proud of them. Sometimes it is difficult to deal with three children of the same age, but when they say 'Mom,' I forget all my problems, "says Soysal.
