I was able to attend the opening of the new tv/media/broadcast centre.
It is a very modern broadcasting setup. Featuring the latest broadcast and studio equipment. Green screen capability plus optical cabling between studios.
Students who want to learn the AV industry would be hard pressed to find anything better. The faculty are industry experienced with a solid teaching tenure.
The event was packed with people from RMIT, media organisations, marketing people, AV people, journalists and sponsors.
To make an impression, they had a massive amount of food. Bread, cheeses, oysters, fruits and so on. Many types of platters, with waiting staff offering all sorts of appetizers.
It was well run and organised. They invited the who's who, to ensure the revamp of RMIT TV gets out into the public eye.
RMIT, based in the city, would be a great campus to see Melbourne, while getting some industry relevent experience.
They also intend to offer their studio capabilities externally as well. Enabling revenue, collaboration and real world application to come together.
Time to enjoy an Expresso Spritz cocktail
