Living in a sub tropical environment you are bound to run into nature in its wild beauty that you find in Africa. Sometimes you find creatures that are in distress and have to make a choice. Let nature take its course or to give hope where there is none.
I found this little chameleon that was paralyzed in his back legs. I suspected that he either fell or that he had been trampled on or maybe even ate a poisoned bug. I decided not to leave him to a certain death.
I brought him home and found a nice potplant that I could move around the house that he could hide in. I was a bit worried about my cats as I have 6 rescues that loves to hunt these fragile creatures.
I have had to hunt for flies that always seem to be around when you don't need it but when you are looking for them they dissappear! Feeding him has also been a game of patience as he was not very trusting of me at first.
It's been just over a week now since we found little 'karma' 😂 chameleon and he is doing great! He has completely shed his skin and seems to be slowly regaining feeling in his back legs!
If he keeps doing so well ill be happy to go release him back into the forest to grow big and have lots of offspring 🙏
