I have always asked myself these questions about the size of the modern humans:
Who pegged the size of modern humans at this size? Are these our original sizes, or were modern humans subjected to be this size?
According to ourworldindata, the average heights of modern humans are 160cm (females) and 175cm (males).
Shocking Discoveries Of Dinosaur-Sized Men
In this our modern world; if you’re over 7feet tall, you’re considered a giant, but a shocking discovery of a 36ft ancient man made our modern men look like dwarfs.
This is nothing like the fictional Titans (from Clash of the Titans movie), or Cyclops (from the 7th voyage of Sinbad), this is a true discovery made.
If you’re familiar with history (Well, I am. Credits to my mum, she’s a historian. Love you mum), you will recall that an ancient geographer Eumachus wrote about this 36ft skeleton of an ancient man. He lived in the Hellenistic period. This was seen as mere fiction, until recently when the discovery was made.
But why did the trend of evolution erase this part of human evolution? Or were these giants just a side arm in the evolutionary tree of man?
Where did these gigantic men come from, and where did they go to?
Going by the trend of human evolution from higher primates, as contained in the recorded history, most ancestors of modern men were actually shorter than modern men.
Australopithecus, for example, was not more than 3.5ft tall (for the tallest among them). So how did these huge creatures evolve from a 3.5ft Australopithecus? Believe me, if these giants existed in our modern times of emerging tech, I would have queried genetic engineering and transmutation, and a bit of hybridoma technology (possibly tweaking human genome with dinosaur’s stem cell. Humorous though).
History Of The Big Foot
This should not be confused with bigfoot (the mythical hairy, bipedal human-like creature). I’m talking about a discovery that was made about the foot print of one of these giant humans. The foot print was so huge that it could accommodate both feet of a modern human.
The discovery was made in Lake Delavan in the early 20th century. From their foot prints, the creature that made the print should be over 22ft tall. Now, from very many discoveries, there were lots of these giant humans in the prehistoric time.
Did they all die out? (Everyone of them). Or could this be a resultant effect of Natural Selection? Well, I really don’t know, but this is definitely not “survival of the fittest” because these giants where more fitted to survive than the modern men. Up till now, this has remained a mystery. Hopefully it will be solved in the nearest future. But one thing I know is:
History cannot be changed. We’re the ones constantly changing the account of history
