Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. The air sacs may be filled with fluid or pus [purulent material].

Streptococcus pneumonia, Mycoplasma pneumonia are some micro oraganisms that cause pneumonia. The community acquired pneumonia is the most common type of pneumonia. It occurs in the community ,outside hospitals. Many microorganisms that cause pneumonia could be bacteria or viruses or other infectious agents like fungi

•Chest pain when u breathe or cough
•confusion or changes in
mental awareness in adult
•fever, fatigue, sweating
•cough with phlegm or blood
•shortness of breath when running or going up the stairs

*Prevention
•Get vaccinated
•Practice good hygiene
•Dont smoke
• keep your immune system strong
