This new solar system discovery is amazing because if we had multiple earth like planets in our solar system, then asteroid impacts could eventually carry asteroids full of bacteria to other planets like the famous Alan Hills 84001 case of the alleged martian bacteria fossils found in a meteroite discovered in antartica! Just AMAZING that science could even DISCOVER something like that! But many are still not convinced it is proof of past life on Mars!
Pan Spermia is the idea that life can be seeded from other planets via asteroid or comets with bacteria! And that life may have actually formed IN SPACE or at least the complex amino acids needed to form proteins to create life and DNA were formed in space where conditions make alot of sense!
I remember learning about Pan Spermia years ago....and now it is a common theme in many movies such as Prometheus or Alien Covenant! (The Engineer seeds life on Earth at the very beginning of Prometheus)
But can life even survive in space? Well we know there is at least 1 animal that has been proven to survive in the vacuum of space and survive! They are called Tardigrades or Water Bears
This WaterBear was even revived from 30 years being frozen in antartic ice!
Maybe we need to build SPACE SUITS that look like the bodies of these tardigrades!
How do we know that these adorable little microscopic creatures werent aliens that first seed life here on earth? Maybe they are our ancient ancestor? NOPE because of genetic research we know they evolved here on earth along with every other organism we have genetically tested which all come back as being genetically related!
EXCEPT for maybe the Arsenic based DNA bacteria found at yellowstone sulfuric geysers,
AND the StarChild Skull (which has alien non earth codons and non human Mitochondrial DNA meaning it was part ET and part Human maybe a ET that was given birth by a human mother, meaning there was some sort of advanced genetic technology going on back then in the ancient mezoamerican civilization in Mexico where it was found!
And along with its chemical makeup, thickness, strange fibers, its DNA reveals something very interesting if you havent heard of this before! Very likely evidence of ET life having existed here on Earth at least at one point in history
Anyway I really hope hope we can find a solar system that can show us what life looks like when it evolves on multiple earth like planets in the same solar system close enough to naturally spread life to each other! Maybe one of these planets has drifted far enough away from the rest to make it the planetary equivalent of Australia or the Galapagos islands!
Imagine the envy of us Earth humans if we find an even MORE complex oxygen breathing ecosystem spread out across multiple planets!
