People need to understand what’s coming and they must prepare themselves to accept the change. They will need new skills and techniques. We will need new financial models to deal with the computational advancements. Artificial intelligence can lead to singularity if the progress in the artificial intelligence world continues.

Artificial Intelligence - Singularity Risks:

Artificial intelligence singularity will forever change the course of history and could spell the end of the human race. The countdown to singularity raises awareness for the potential dangers of Artificial intelligence. It invites a group of multidisciplinary artists to bring the most prominent doom scenarios to life.

There is a 50/50 chance that a machine will replace you. We can see that machines now threaten one out of three jobs thus far held by humans. Robots are taking over our jobs and that will inevitably lead to an even wider gap between the rich and poor, political strife and civil war.

More than 50 nations are now developing robotic weapon systems that are able to choose and hit on targets independently, without human intervention. The lack of morality and mortality could force situations to compete with potentially terrifying consequences for civilians.

An all-powerful artificial intelligence from the future will retroactively torture those who did not actively help bring about its existence. An apparently innocuous An AI, whose only job is to make paperclips, could ultimately destroy humankind. The AI would go to extremes for the innovation of better techniques to maximize the number of paperclips and sourcing materials. It would consume all resources essential to our survival or turn us humans into paperclip material.

The superhuman intelligence could be only reached by successfully uploading a human’s consciousness to a computer. The mind’s original memories, skills, values, and consciousness will all be preserved in the computer. Additional computational resources would enhance it with enormous intellectual superiority. The post-human world (artificial intelligence) would be a mere reflection of a single person’s ego and desires.
