Is this how the unconscious warns us that we will have brain diseases?

The human brain has a complex functioning and every abnormality can be a sign of some problem including those horrible nightmares that disturb our dreams.

It is normal to have bad dreams, but when violent nightmares become repetitive we are faced with an unconscious signal through which the brain tells us that something is not working as it should, as concluded a research done in Canada.

Your worst nightmares mean something to you.

Twists in the bed waving arms and legs as if that terrible nightmare were occurring in the real world and it is that those bad dreams can feel so true that they cause us anguish even after awakening.

A study by the University of Toronto believes that behind the violent nightmares there is a signal from our brain, since these horrible dreams that occur repetitively would be a symptom of a neurological disease in its early stages.

Dreams occur during the REM sleep phase known as REM. At this stage we are not deeply asleep so some typical brain functions of the vigil are present.

The reactions and functioning of the brain during the MOR phase are controlled by the brain stem and during the present so-called MOR sleep disorders, including sleepwalking, night terrors and nightmares so vivid that they provoke violent reactions in which Our body acts what we are dreaming.

Despite the large amount of research on the subject, no one knows the true role of dreams, but Canadian scientists believe that these nightmares and sleeping disorders would be an unconscious way of expressing the beginning or propensity to suffer Neurological disorders.

80% of people with MOR sleep disorders over the years develop degenerative diseases of the central nervous system such as Parkinson's, Dementia of Lewy bodies and multisystemic atrophy, according to data collected by scientists for several decades.

The authors of the Canadian study concluded that the relationship between REM sleep disorders and these neurological diseases is due to damage to brain stem neurons which is progressive and whose first symptom may occur during sleep.

Scientists believe that their discovery could serve to treat those who present these sleep disorders before the neuronal damage is extensive and thus prevent them from developing irreversible neurological diseases, a major advance in the fight against previously unexplained conditions and soon be preventable.
