The moon id a ball of rock, about a quarter of the size of the Earth. The moon is held close to the eargh, like a ball on the string, by the mutual oull of the moon and earth's gravity. It circles continually around the Earth, taking about a month to go around, and as it goes rounf it also turns slowly on its axis, taking exactly the same time to go round - nearly 30 times slowet than the Earth, which spins riunf in 24 hours.
What's inside of it?
The moon has a very thick crust of solid rock (about 150km thick), a verycool mantle of softer rock beneath and tiny metal core.Changing Moon
As the moon circles the Earth over the course of the month, we see different amounts of its bright, sunlight side, so it apoears to change shape. The phases are from the left to right: New moon, Half, Gibbous, Full, and Old moon. When it is growing bigger it is to be wacing and when growing smaller it is to be waning.

The mechanism of how the moon works is very amazing, the moon rotation brings about the light and darkness depending on the side of the sky it is.. You've shared a nice post, thanks
