Time Travel: Fiction Or Possibility?

in science •  5 years ago  (edited)

Being able to travel through time to a different age or era is the dream of many scientists, sci-fi enthusiasts, and even historians. Sci-Fi enthusiast has fictionalized the concept to the hilt. Many of us would give anything to see events that would happen in future or those that have happened in the past.

Stephen Hawking in his book "Brief Answers to the Big Questions," writes- "If one made a research grant application to work on time travel it would be dismissed immediately." However he does argue that our current understanding cannot rule it out in future. Hawking was cautiously optimistic.

So is time travel really a possibility? Our current understanding can't rule it out in future, but with our current stat-of-the-art, the answer is probably no.

So for now we can either pretend to be a time traveler on December 8th - The TIme Traveler Day!, or watch these so called time travelers telling their interesting stories of time travel.
