Probably a lot of science fiction books are good. Maybe something by Isaac Asimov or Arthur C. Clarke.
Nick Bostrom’s Superintelligence is a cool one. A lot of people are recommending that book.

Asimov, Clarke and Herbert are all timeless. I have found a new author that is on par with Herbert, in my opinion. A Chinese author by the name of Cixin Liu and his Hugo Award Winning trilogy The Three Body Problem. I highly recommend it

Well written sci-fi can be very thought provoking. I would highly recommend picking up some of the classics.
