The Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) often holds lectures about different areas of science. The majority of them are probably from the medical field though.
A number of speakers have been giving lectures on ketone research (Jeff Volek, Stephen Cunnane, Dominic D'Agostino), on intermittent fasting, on gluten free diets - not the fad (for people suffering from Coeliacs - Dr. Alessio Fasano), and more.
The lecture that I'm suggesting in this post is about the latest advances in Parkinson's Disease research, and it has been given by Michael Okun MD, a neurologist and a research:
"Dr. Okun was recently recognized in 2015 at the White House for being a Champion of Change for Parkinson’s Disease...He has also been a champion of the international construction of service and science hubs for neurological diseases." [source]
Some of the notable works of Dr. Okun has involved non-motor basal ganglia and deep brain stimulation. As an author, two of his books come in help for the people suffering from Parkinson's Disease. Reason being, this is a good lecture for those who want to know more about this condition, for people taking care of close ones suffering from the disease and also for those who might want to prevent getting the disease.
