Scientific Consensus: This phrase should make you cringe. At least if you understand science.

You are lying. Science is driven by publications, which are in turn driven by peer review process.

Nope. I am most definitely not lying.

Publications are an argument from authority fallacy. It has ZERO to do with actual science. It claims to be the authority on science today, but that isn't science. It is an authoritarian hijacking of science, much like the Catholic Church hijacking what knowledge is printable in the past.

Science is based upon the scientific method. Nothing more.

Everything else is baggage that has mostly been added on by power hungry control freaks.

The only one that might be guilty of lying is THEM, and you, to yourself.

Like I said you need to research:
#1 - The Scientific Method
#2 - Argument from popularity fallacy
and now we can add a third.
#3 - Argument from authority fallacy

You can get a head start just by doing your own study and research into critical thinking. It'll explain those things and more. They don't really teach that in schools these days.

I suspect it is because by not teaching it we are more susceptible to the propaganda techniques that use those particular fallacy techniques against the public, because they are used extensively all over the place these days.

Here are a few ways to put a hole in your peer review journals statement:

Peer Review journals are a relatively new thing in a long history of science. Science was present and active without those things for a very long time. So if it existed without such journals and was producing answers that kind of shows the flaw with your thinking. If it was based upon peer review journals then it should never have existed before they did. Yet it did. :)

Now to take it further, since you apparently don't want to do any actual research and you've already made up your mind. I'll help you out a little.

I will agree that today the science journals are whom so-called "scientists" are pandering to. It is how they get paid. So rather than publishing failures, or things that go against the popular public and/or political narrative they will simply produce what they know the people paying them want them to say. That isn't science.

They throw the label science on it, but that is the LIE.
