Photos of what a global drought would do to the great monuments of the world

Global warming is a reality that we face each day and whose consequences can already be seen. Unfortunately, due to our fast pace of consumerism and the destruction of ecosystems is irremediable, however, what we can still do is to mitigate it and make this climate change slower.

Reducing our pollution will be the only way that climate change will slow down. Less use of the car, recycling, lowering our meat consumption, requiring our governments to research cleaner methods of energy, are some of the ways we can help our planet.

Within all the possibilities of this climatic change are the great and strong droughts, the plants would disappear and with them the animals, including us.

It is precisely in this apocalyptic scenario that the artist Joel Krebs has created a series of images that show us how the great constructions and monuments of the world would look in case a drought would shelter the whole world.

The images are beautiful but at the same time terrifying. It is up to us to prevent them from coming to fruition.

I think images like these help put things in perspective, althought the great wall of china looks pretty cool with a desert :D
