I did not look at the models yesterday but now it looks like the US might get another hit, perhaps not with the eyewall but definitely a large chunk of the strong winds and torrential rain. The models have steered much more to the west, have a look:
Comment: As you can see, it is way closer to the shoreline now and many models are showing a direct landfall. The areas that might be hit are New York and New Jersey all the way up to Boston.
I hope it does not reach a high populated area.
The good news about the hurricane going to the north is that the sea waters are colder, however I am not usre if cold enough to make the hurricane weaker.
