Science encourages our children to learn by experience that everything we do is cause and affect for every action there is a reaction ,and this is fun and exciting to teach and apply to life lessons.
Have you ever wanted to become a gemologist digging through the dirt and uncovering gems and crystals.utalizing the tools of the trade much like those of the real world.
Step 1 have the item purchased( note the discount thank you giant tiger)
Step 2 open up our box and display its contents,the tools are used to slowly and carefully chip away the sandstone and brush off the particles where as the block with the gems is a representative of the earth millions of years ago.
Step 3 we covered our work area with an old cookie sheet and placemats for easier cleanup.

Step 4 slowly ship away the sandstone to reveal the gems
Then carefully washing the gems
.
Oh how precious are these moments cherish them while they are still small and these gems are so pretty too.can you guess what they are????
