I am @gecaintristan , a Mechanical Engineering student and I will introduce to you the basic working principles of an Internal Combustion Engine .
Here is an example of an internal combustion engine of a car , as you can see in the picture there is an Air Intake manifold(round circular drum), a Radiator( square metal upfront) and the orange metal piece you can see is the main body of the engine .
This is the body of an engine where it houses all the pistons ( those 6 holes ) , it is called the piston cyclinders .
This is how a piston head looks like , the combustion inside the chamber drives the piston to move forward creating a force/torque necessary to move the wheels of the car .
Combustion is made out of Air and Fuel , this is essential in driving/powering the engine .
m
This is a part of the Air intake and Exhaust manifold , this is where air is sucked in for combustion and exits out thru the exhaust pipes .
These are several parts that is essential for the Internal Combustion Engine , but we will not cover it as it is difficult to understand and does not incline with basic working principle of and Internal Combustion Engine .
