Scientific Evidence Shouldn't Dictate Your Opinion

in science •  7 years ago  (edited)

The bullet whole example was just an example to show that most people won't bother and cannot know because they don't have either the time or the tools.

i can use a laser drill and carve every single of those holes like a sculpture. Not the point.

If you want to believe the "experts" because they have "degrees" then do so. It makes you gullible. It doesn't make the rest of us stupid. It is perfectly fine to be skeptical about things that fall outside your domain of control.

Oh, really?

"That's similar to finding a hole in the wall and working meticulously to set up a gun with the right diameter, bullets and fire power to replicate that hole effect — an event that could have been made from a drill or someone slowly carving it with erosive chemical compounds."

It's a lie and the next lie that i was calling to blindly believe someone with a degree. I was saying that your article is poor, examples are poor and that you've unfairly called whole disciplines as bullshit. That's it, nevertheless.

P.s
Go ahead and simulate this one with the laser drill)))

You need to seriously catch up with some artists at least

Great carving but stupidest analogy. Are you a comedy artist?

can an artist simulate that bullet whole yes or no?

Replicate the bullet holes from that video with the laser drill))) I'm eager to see how you will ask an artist to carve those holes out)))

My point is that it can be done with current technology.
The latter point is that we have situations in science that we don't even know that a gun exists and just study the holes.

Cosmology for example is based on this assumption, hence no science.

You are missing the whole point.

You are arguing that astrobiology is not a science. You say that they can't conduct any experiments. But in reality they can and they do the experiments. Astrobiology is not limited only to answering the question is there extraterrestrial life or not.

You are against cosmology. Read what NASA thinks about Cosmology.

"Cosmology is the scientific study of the large scale properties of the universe as a whole. It endeavors to use the scientific method to understand the origin, evolution and ultimate fate of the entire Universe. Like any field of science, cosmology involves the formation of theories or hypotheses about the universe which make specific predictions for phenomena that can be tested with observations. Depending on the outcome of the observations, the theories will need to be abandoned, revised or extended to accommodate the data."

If you don't understand what is written above so it's you the one who misses the point. Many advances in science started as hypothesis that could not be tested at a time.

After your bullshit about replicating the bullet holes with the laser drill i can't take you seriously not only as scientist but also as an engineer. It was not hard at all to imagine the process of drilling and to understand that bullet hole cannot be replicated with a laser drill.

I have no intention to continue that dispute because it's not interesting and absolutely useless.

I am aware what NASA claims and I can and refuted their ways in another article. You can read the arguments here.

It was not hard at all to imagine the process of drilling and to understand that bullet hole cannot be replicated with a laser drill.

It can be replicated even with nano structures. You just seem to be a bit butthurted and thus accepting other possibilities. Learn to argue properly and learn to think for yourself instead of NASA (or others) doing it for you.
