These days are good or very inadequate speakers. Listeners have to listen beyond words being gouged. They must hear from the meaning of every sentence.
Often behind what is not spoken as to what is spoken there are many meanings, especially if deliberately spoken. Find the meaning. You will improve your listening capabilities more than 2 x fold.
People not only present information. They often manipulate it. Being a quick listener is not enough. Everyone manipulates information. We help ourselves and Bibisue when describing the funny events that happened to a policeman. (Which is not really funny). We try to present ourselves well, usually better than what we feel, to others.
But more often, people manipulate their words to manipulate you, in various ways. This happens anywhere, from a boarding house to a sleeping room, reaching all areas.
Throughout the week, we hear dozens, maybe hundreds of people, maybe even thousands of them poking around cable television, looking for ways to convince us of the manipulation of the words we say.
The scientists call it "Persuasive Communion" They define it as a process in which people try to enforce other people's or not.
Some Insults have a larger investment than others in manipulating us. Persuasive communication plays a core role in a number of professions. Perhaps this is not the core ingredient in many careers, but most people need to be able to influence others in their work situations.
