This is not actually news, but for those who haven't been paying attention, most of the politicians and bureaucrats who pushed social distancing, lockdowns, vaccine mandates, etc. have been admitting stuff like this a few times a month for a couple years now.
The news just doesn't broadcast their backtracking with a thousandth of the effort that they spent on pushing hysteria.
It's not idiotic to avoid being close to actually sick people.
However... It is completely pointless to go through life afraid that everyone around you is going to pass on a disease, and the 6' distance claim was beyond arbitrary.
