The Big Splat Theory is a theory about how our moon came to be.
Very simply explained the theorie is that it originally was 2 proto planets, one a little bigger then the other.
In the end they crashed, and from that both Earth as we know it to day and our moon become.
First it created a lot of big rocks that was orbiting around the Earth, and in the end this clumped together and created our moon.
For many millions of years, the moon was much much closer to the Earth then it is now.
And because of that it created Mega storms and weather conditions that made it impossible for life to develop.
But slowly it got further and further away from our planet, until it ended up where it is to day.

I am beginning to see you are inclined towards geology. Or are you a geologist?

No i am just a hobby geologist.
But i do know a lot about it.
When i was 16 years old, the city i live in actually did pay me to teach teachers from many of the schools we have here about geology.
I was a completely nerd about it, so when my other friends looked forward to the weekends where they could try to get some girlfriends, i looked forward to the weekend because they gave me more time to do field exploring and discover new areas to find minerals.. lol
Fortunately i started to lift my eyes from the ground eventually and discovered other things in life also in the end.. lol
But from i was 12 to around 17-18 that was what i did and read about every single day.. lol
