Earth’s Longest-lived Vertebrate Is Greenland Shark

 A 400-year-old shark is the longest-living vertebrates known on Earth, scientists say. 

Researchers used radiocarbon dating to determine the ages of 28 of the animals, and estimated that one female was about 400 years old.According to a scientific research, published in the journal Science http://science.sciencemag.org/content/353/6300/702 the Greenland sharks could live for over 250 years.
