Scientists have found a new breakthrough to separate the two liquids mixed using a laser.

According to scientists, the technique is like taking milk from your tea after being mixed. It is quite difficult, but, they say, this invention can be applied more widely.

Not only fluids, these techniques can also facilitate the manufacture of computers, mobile phones, drugs, paints, light bulbs and solar cells. That way, the selling price can be cheaper.

All these products depend on the crystals used in the technology. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to control the crystallization process.

However, this latest discovery using this laser utilizes fluctuations in the critical point. Pushing the system into a phase of separation.

Professor Klaas Wynne, who designed and developed the technique, said: "It's like making tea and stirring it with milk. Then you use the laser to suck back the milk. It may sound unreasonable, but it's all in the laws of physics. "

"This study is the first step towards full defense of the role of fluctuations in crystal nucleation. Our goal is to gain complete control over nucleation, including the type of crystals produced, "added Finlay Walton, researcher of the study.

Interesting! Did not know that separation of two mixed liquids could happen by laser. Kind of shakes what we learned in physics back in school, or maybe I need to understand this a bit better. :)

very interesting news
