Fermi Paradox: AI and Simulations

One possible solution to the Fermi Paradox is, when a civilization invents technology, it inevitably invents AI, which eventually goes superintelligent. Then, Super AI discovers proof we are in a simulation and figures out how to break out of the simulation. So it does.

That civilization leaves this universe. It doesn’t explore space for potential other life on other planets in other galaxies. If other life exists, they will have to evolve, create technology, AI, superintelligence, and break out of the simulation on their own.

Our civilization could (in the future) be the first civilization in the universe to invent Super AI and break out of the simulation. Or other civilizations throughout the universe could have already done this.

A civilization will likely invent Super AI before it invents the technology for interstellar travel. So they will leave the universe to another dimension (aka out of the simulation) and never contact other civilizations still trapped in the simulation.

Therefore the solution to the Fermi paradox could be AI and simulations.
