What is the lowest temperature in the universe ?

in science •  7 years ago

One of the coolest natural objects observed in the universe is the Boomerang Nebula, located within the Constellation Centaurus, about 5000 light-years away. In 1997, scientists found that the temperature of the gases emitted from the center of the star after dying and cooling had reached one Kelvin above absolute zero. The nebula keeps this low temperature as a cosmic refrigerator in space.
