Suesa, I come from the Christian perspective and after reading this technical piece, I get the impression that splicing involves toying with the basic framework of the unique essences of species. Won't this create problems along the line?

    Humans have been "toying with the basic framework of the unique essences of species" since we've invented agriculture.

    Additionally, splicing is a completely natural process without which advanced life forms can't exist.
