SUPER BLUE RED MOON - Is it sign for the LORD's COMING?

in sciencefacts •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hello Everyone!
It's already February 1st and Valentines is fast approaching (insert heart shapes) but before we go on to sweetness and couple reviews, lets first take a glance and ponder what happen on the 31st of January and what are some information about such event.

I know that everyone knew about the SUPER BLUE RED MOON which happens last night (January 31, 2018 here in the Philippines). What really is the scientific reason about this?

BLOOD

The term “Blood Moon” is used to describe a total lunar eclipse, because it causes the Moon to turn a dark reddish color. This happens whenever the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, and the Moon falls into our planet’s shadow, or umbra. The Moon doesn’t go completely dark, though: the Sun’s light still manages to shine onto the lunar surface, but it will appear mostly reddish-orange, thanks to a phenomenon known as “scattering.” (Kudos to The Verge)

BLUE

This part of the description actually has nothing to do with the Moon’s color. A Moon is considered a “Blue Moon” when it’s the second full Moon in a calendar month. This doesn’t happen very often since full Moons roughly happen every 29.5 days. January began with a full Moon on the 1st, so the month will close out with one, too. (Kudos to The Verge)

SUPER

Not only is this a full Moon, but it’s technically a supermoon as well, meaning it will be closer to the Earth than usual. The Moon doesn’t orbit our planet in a perfect circle, but follows more of an elliptical path, so its distance from Earth varies. Supermoons occur whenever a full Moon is closest to Earth on its orbit, making it about 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than full Moons that are the farthest away from Earth. (Kudos to The Verge)

On a science base explanation, we can already perceived that it is a rare phenomenon wherein the red tint is the result of sunlight scattering in Earth's atmosphere, the same effect that causes sunsets and sunrises to appear red.

But really, have anyone tried to scan the pages of the Bible if this has some explanation?
Just some verse that would really catch your thoughts and will really make you ponder.
Science sure do has their Scientific Explanations, BIBLE do has its own words that would catch your attention.

If we are going to scan the pages of the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible, there is a chapter under ACTS that clearly states the coming of the LORD and cites the event we just experienced, the BLOOD MOON.

Acts 2:20-21 New International Version (NIV)

20: The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

21: And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Those verses simply illustrates the Blood Moon which is a sign for the Lord's coming."
"The sun will be turned to darkness
- as daylight ends, we all know that darkness take over and nigh time appears.
"And the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord."
- the happening of the eclipse was stated though no specific date, yet it was stated that the moon will turn to red (as emphasized by blood)

We all know that science doesn't believe on the creation since no scientific evidence were found out hence they believe on genetic interference and cellular processes.
But reading those verses simply tells us that those were already predicted and it has happened.
We may seems so confused about this, but if you believe in the Lord, would you believe this?

Some words stated on the bible already happens and this one is a living proof and is a recent event. We don't know what will happen next, if ever that the Lord is really coming, my only question is,

ARE YOU READY FOR THE COMING?

                                    -FIN-
