Mark my words: although I haven't seen it yet, prepare for a flood of posts claiming that there's a whole lot of people upset that Velma from Scooby Doo coming out as gay is offensive.
After seeing five hundred posts mad about people being mad, and fifty posts about how nobody is actually upset... you'll see a dozen about how this is grooming and woke bullshit and inappropriate for children's programming that's just a string of barely hidden references to pot anyway, and people will laugh at their absurdity. You'll see another dozen about how this is lazy on the part of studios, who have no original ideas and seem entirely reliant on remakes and adding in some kinda controversy and nostalgic throwbacks, and people will start conflating the two critiques like they're the same thing.
In reality, almost everyone suspected the entire time, and anybody who is even aware that parody porn exists has had confirmation of that suspicion for decades.
Once that calms down, Hollywood will repeat the process elsewhere, because repetition works.
