Uplifting Scriptures: The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

The apostle John tells us about living as children of God and overcoming the temptations of the world: "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world", 1 John 4:4.
Because there is a spirit of truth and a spirit of error, that is, there are two mutually exclusive mentalities: “They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.”, 1 John 4:6

This filiation as children of God, comes from a new birth, a birth from the water and the spirit, as Jesus explains to Nicodemus:
"Jesus answered: ´Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying: ´You must be born again´", John 3:5-7.
According to the Scriptures there is a nature according to the world, we do not come into the world with the gift of charity, that is why this nature must be surpassed through growth in values (the Kingdom of Heaven), until there is no other value than the love of God, which is an infused virtue: "And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.", Romans 5:5.
To look at our neighbor with the eyes of God, that is what Jesus asks of us, that look of mercy (kindness, compassion, gentleness) that edifies, forgives, heals suffering, and gives uplifting. And thus meet that adult love, that perfect love:
"´Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?´
Jesus replied: ´Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind´. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ´Love your neighbor as yourself´. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22: 36-40.
