As an atheist, I spend a lot of time reading religious works, and as it's Sunday, I thought I'd honour the religions of the world by quoting some scripture.
This week, we will start off with the good old King James Bible, and I find myself starting this weekly slot with Timothy, seemingly attributed to Paul....go figure..anyway, directly from the online King James Bible itself.
8 I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
There you are, go discuss....obviously only the men though because god says the women have to shut up.
