About the scroll
Scroll is a native zkEVM layer 2 solution for Ethereum. It is an EVM equivalent zk-rollup developed by the Scroll team in collaboration with the PSE (Privacy and Scaling Explorations) group of the Ethereum Foundation. Native compatibility with existing Ethereum applications and tools can be achieved, which means developers can create smart contracts and deploy them on Scroll using any EVM-compatible language. Scroll handles off-chain transactions and publishes concise proofs of correctness on the chain. This results in higher throughput and lower costs compared to the Ethereum base layer.
In February of this year, Scroll officially launched the Alpha testnet open to all users, and said it would improve ZkEVM performance in the next few months. Just a week after the launch of the testnet, Scroll completed a $50 million financing from Polychain Capital, Sequoia China and others at a valuation of $1.80 billion.
Scroll is currently in the Pre-Alpha testnet stage, and although Scroll does not currently support EVM opcode, it plans to do so by building a 1:1 opcode map and accepting EVM opcode directly without the compiler.
II. Interactive processes
- Add test network
Open website: https://scroll.io/portal add Goerli and Scroll Alpha network

Open the website: https://goerlifaucet.com/ ; connect your Alchemy account, enter your address and click “Send ETH”.
- Cross-chain test coins
Open the testnet cross-chain bridge: http://scroll.io/alpha/bridge . Bridge some ETH from Goerli to Scroll. The transaction takes at least 10–15 minutes. Please pay close attention to the pop-up window for status updates.
- Transfer
Use the “Send” feature in Metamask to send funds to another wallet.

Connect your wallet to https://app.aave.com
Turn on “Testnet Mode” in the upper right corner
On the left, adjust the link network from Ethereum Market to Scroll Alpha Market.
Provide some ETH and borrow tokens, such as DAI, USDC, or USDT.
- Cross-chain back to Goerli
Send your ETH from Scroll back to Goerli https://scroll.io/bridge the bridge.
- Receive Scroll Alpha testnet tokens
Connect your wallet to https://scroll-usdc-faucet.vercel.app
Click “Declaration” and confirm.
Import the testUSDC address into Metamask: 0xA0D71B9877f44C744546D649147E3F1e70a93760, check whether the tokens have arrived in the wallet.
- Create an LP
Click “USDC/ETH” below Claim and go directly to the uniswap redemption page.
Exchange USDC to ETH.
Go to the Pool section and create a new location.
Select the 0.3% fee level for ETH — USDC.
Click “Full range”, enter the amount you want, preview and confirm!
Select location.
Click “Remove Liquidity”
Select “50%” and confirm.
- Swap transaction
Go to https://scroll.izumi.finance/swap
And exchange your ETH for any token.
Then, go to the “Limit Order” tab and create a limit order.
- Provide liquidity
Connect https://syncswap.xyz your wallet
Switch the network to “Scroll” and click “Faucet”
Click “Receive Now” to conduct some swaps and provide liquidity to the fund pool.
