Should have thought of this sooner, but Obamacare is not the problem. It's re-directing unlimited collision proceeds to an unlimited American expense. It's temporary, but as collisions go away, healthcare or health insurance should go away too.

Same thing with the nation's 401k's. The same executive power which searched and seized retirement funds to pay the national debt by means of eminent domain, should consider a cash boon in personal injury and redirecting it to health insurance expense.

My former pastor's sister in Rocky Mount, North Carolina lost $250,000 without rolling over anything. She's sixty-something, working, a property-owner and her mother just died. This is not supposed to happen to the American people.

I had a car accident; got $25,000; but my lawyer liened $10,000 so I received $15,000. The "cash for clunkers" I was driving was totally demolished. I sustained a broken rib, followed by a heart attack. People with less injury and turmoil than myself would have collected $250,000. That's it. I'm done with this subject.

There is no such thing in the world as a good healthcare system.
They all have their flaws, no matter where you look.
But there are some that can be considered grossly inefficient.
Such as the one in the US.

Information dissymetry is THE market spoiler in inpatient health care.
So is the formation of cartells.
US got both.

If given any choice, I would always fly to Germany for a treatment.
As only actual costs can be incurred by the hospital on a standardized rate (pretty complicated to have this calculated though) and no profit is allowed (!) on the no-frills-scheme, it has some of the best performance / price ratios worldwide.

Only problem: in an acute condition, you have no option to get there in time.

awesome (freaking awesome)
