When autumn comes (Fall) things change, but not just the colours.
I love this time of year, everything is quiet, the sun still shines every day with the odd day of rain. This year is proving to be different in that we
are experiencing the odd five days of rain instead of the odd day.
Such is life!
Unless you live at the sea, the only views you get of the sea and beach areas are on holiday. I thought it would be nice to show how things are when the tourists are gone. The weather is still warm and the pleasure of relaxing by the sea is still available to anyone but, in splendid isolation. Here its particularly pleasant as the crime rate is virtually zero. Relax all day and worry not.
1 The tourists don't come to swim anymore.
This small beach is generally packed.
2 The tourists don't come to sunbathe anymore.
These areas are usually packed with beds, chairs and sunbathers upon them. This area is due for redevelopment due to its age and old-fashioned design.
3 The passage to the small island of Comino has no boats ferrying across to the island or pleasure trips around the island.
4 The sea is dangerous.
Undercurrents, nasty waves and wind, make swimming in this area dangerous.
Tourists tend to come for the walking, cycling and historical visits at this time of year.
So if you live here, the beaches and sea views are empty to be enjoyed in a different way to the summer months.
