The Importance of Password Protection

Just a few thoughts on keeping your online identity protected:

First, don't go full autistic and use something as retarded as "password" for your password for ANYTHING, not even your Domino's Pizza app. John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's CAMPAIGN MANAGER, had his password as...you guessed it, "password."
This caused a huge coke-binge inspired headache for her campaign. Not that she had a shot anyway, but it's still good to keep in mind that in order to not get hacked easier than a Mexican immigrant gets a landscaping job.

Here's a low-tech option for creating a secure password. Trust me, it works.

  1. Open notepad or wordpad or Microsoft Word.
  2. Close your eyes.
  3. Randomly peck at your keyboard 8-10 times, making sure to hit the numpad at least twice.
  4. Open your eyes.
  5. Change a few of those letters to capitals and add a punctuation somewhere.
  6. Remember it. Your identity depends on it. Practice saying it to yourself, preferably not in your office where nosy kiss-ass fucktards can hear you.

Alternatively, use a password manager. I prefer LastPass. You only need to remember ONE password (your master login) and every website or app you use is compatible. I use Google Chrome as my browser, and it can be installed as a handy browser extension. They will create a strong, unique password for you and save it in a secure vault. If you have a later-model iPhone (5s or later) you can even set it up to use Touch ID. Never worry about getting your Facebook or Twitter hacked! And if you do your taxes online, it can even save that ever-important IRS PIN (I never remember mine.)
