BitFence: No More Hacking

in security •  6 years ago  (edited)

There is a joy that comes with having online presence. I’m not talking about chatting away on social networks such as Facebook. Though this counts, I’m looking at a wider perspective; an approach that yields profit.

You might have a business and you have a make-shift store by the roadside where you sell your items. The petty cash you get there is not enough to move your business to the next level. With different technologies knocking at our doors, it is important that you port to any of them that catch your fancy.

Many businesses today have utmost regard for their data as this plays sensitive and critical roles in extending their frontiers. Online users have every confidence that their security is assured but they fail to recognize the existence and huge influence hackers and cyber criminals have to play.

The Problem at a Glance

Most times, we feel too comfortable with our present condition and to move out of our comfort zone is difficult. Online users have often found it hard to detect a hack in their profiles until after the hackers have gained access to sensitive information.

While users are lamenting of their loss as a result of their hacked accounts, hackers on their part are having a field day. A 2017 Norton Report posited that hackers made away with about $1702 billion and this was generated from about 978 million users in 20 countries of the world.

With this level of madness exhibited by hackers, you can’t be sure of having your account back after logging out. Companies are facing the brunt too and it takes a longer time to detect a hack.

Nowadays, we don’t have amateur hackers but an upgrade to hacking. The newest approach is the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) that involves a coordinated attack on users and organizations. As hacks continue to hold sway, companies and users are losing both their data and sensitive information while hackers are generating ton of income from these data made available to them through a hack.

A Light at the Tunnel End

How would you feel getting to know the person that hacked your Facebook account? How will you company handle a hacker when he is caught? I’m sure you’ll be seething with rage and it will take divine intervention to prevent you from committing murder or doing something rash.

Identification of a hacker is a good approach and that is what you will benefit if you use the latest solution to hacking. The solution is a decentralized blockchain network called BitFence.

Why you should use BitFence

I’m pretty sure there are other options out there to protect you from hacking. There are the password options and the latest upgrade called the Two-Factor Authentication. What you should ask yourself is why your account still got hacked after using these options.
I think it is because the hackers behind the act were not exposed. BitFence exposes potential hackers and also distributes their profile across its network. So once someone had engaged in a hack before, his data and profile will be made known so other users can be wary of him.

I really like this project because it trains you to become a detective. On the BitFence network, you are allowed to track and identify a hacker. This is called mining and it is implemented through the HoneyNet node. You get rewarded for “getting hold” of the hacker and your reward comes in form of the HNY token which is the primary token used on the BitFence network.

How does it work?

BitFence duly protect its community. Every user is expected to transact using the HoneyNet node and this where the main action is. If a hacker gets into the node, his data is captured and the artificial intelligence software on BitFence analyzes the hacker’s signature.
IMG_20180630_201334_684.jpgAs soon as this is done, an alert of possible threat is sent to all users so everyone will be on check. In the event of a hack, everyone on the BitFence network is protected within few moments after the attack was initiated.

Who Can Use BitFence?

BitFence is not restricted to you as a user or companies alone. It is also implemented on small companies, companies with multiple cloud service providers, large enterprises with considerable information security department.

Other Features

BitFence also blocks channels that are regarded as having malicious content such as malware, viruses and high risk hosts. It also mitigates threats to users’ data while cutting down the possibility of a hack.
IMG_20180630_201736_689.jpgThe network also gathers and ranks gathered data. This will help the BitFence network identify the type of data that hackers are interested in. This is achieved through the use of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) approach.
In the future, BitFence will have a store that offers relevant products and services to users.

Conclusion

BitFence will be a good approach to cyber protection. I know there are other similar ICOs out there such as REMME but what is found on BitFence is powerful than others. BitFence exposes the hacker and protects users from a hack within minutes of the first attack.

You can now chat as you like and have full confidence when doing your next online task because you’re assured of maximum security with the BitFence network.
